Mission Statement

At the close of almost every worship service we proclaim our mission statement:

Celebrate Grace

Make Disciples

Make a Difference

Because we are All Saints All the Time!

What does it mean to Celebrate Grace, Make Disciples and Make a Difference?

Celebrate Grace:

Grace has been defined as the unmerited, unconditional love of God shown to us in Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. That is one definition, but one of our favorite definitions comes from Philip Yancey: Grace means there is nothing you can do to make God love you more and there is nothing you can do to make God love you less. The funny thing about grace is that not once does Jesus use the word. For him grace was present everywhere. It was something to be lived and not just talked about. Grace is larger than the gift of salvation; grace precedes everything that is good, honorable and beautiful.

Make Disciples:

How do I believe this promise of grace? How does this make sense? These questions are addressed as we are made into disciples. One of Jesus’ last commands was to “Go and make disciples. . .” (Matthew 28:19) Believing in Jesus, believing in his grace we seek a deeper, hands on knowledge of what Jesus and his grace mean for our lives. We receive, reflect and experience a relationship with Jesus through worship, teaching, reading the Bible, praying, participating in small groups, serving and loving your family and neighbor at home and at work, having dinner with friends, sharing a cup of coffee, you get the picture. We grow in our belief and relationship with Jesus when we see and experience his love both in the church and in the world.

Make a Difference:

We all want our lives to count and we all want to make a difference. Having been loved, saved and blessed by God we join God in loving, blessing and saving the world.  How do I do that? You are probably doing it already. Where are you bringing the love of Jesus into the world? Where are you blessing the world? Whether you are a part of All Saints or not God is using you to love, bless and save this world. You are bringing God’s kingdom here on earth. We’d love it if you would partner with us in this mission to make a difference.

Because we are All Saints All the Time!

We are transformed from sinners to saints by grace, by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. This is a daily event because every day we continue to sin. But we are All Saints not just one hour a week on Sunday, but also the other 167 hours a week—“We are All Saints All the Time!”.
